EINSTEIN LEARNS ENGLISH (THE SYMBOL OF GRAMMAR INTRODUCTION)

Posted by admin Friday, June 11, 2010

The Torch finally will launch the grammar learning based on the simple patterned method and usage for all participants who would like to study it. We call it EINSTEIN LEARNS ENGLISH, as we published it in previous posting. You may check it in the article of grammar. Proudly we so expect that this method can be applicative and easy to learn. Sooner, you will be able to download the complete series of this Grammar package that consists of 9 sessions divided by three different levels.
As the first warming-up subject, we would introduce you several appendixes and symbols that you may deal with during the lesson. These symbols are related to the structural formulas in making sentences. You will find a kind of these symbols as a notice:
  • S = subjek
  • P = predikat
  • O = objek
  • C = complement
  • A = adverb
  • N = noun
  • V = verb
  • Adv = adverb
  • Adj = adjective
  • V1 = kata kerja pertama
  • V2 = kata kerja kedua
  • V3 = kata kerja ketiga
  • Ving = kata kerja + ing
  • Vto = to infinitive
  • Vbare = kata kerja utuh
  • Q = question
  • Aux = auxiliary
  • Prep = preposition
The indexes above are the basic knowledge that you have to memorize. Some are used in different functions and types in sentences. For example:
“S” refers to Subject as the main references in the first word of sentence, such as John eats banana. John is obviously a subject for that sentence, a unit who does something task; eats. But in other side, John, though is considered as human (living kind), includes “N” that refers to Noun or thing. It appears because as its function, John is subject in sentence, but as its part of speech, John is a noun. The concept is; the function of subject must always be filled by noun.
If you still get confused, that’s a good sign. It means you try to figure it out. Don’t worry, we will explain it and expand the lesson. As long as you stick to this program and follow it gradually and regularly, you can master it and you will become Einstein in Grammar! See you in the next chapter. (Arafah)
